How to Transition Summer Outfits into Fall

I feel like everyone is already so ready for fall weather to come- and I’m no different.  I cannot wait until the air is cooler and I can break out all of my sweaters and boots. Not to mention, Starbucks will have their fall drinks out soon and the salted caramel mocha is my absolute favorite!

Unfortunately, fall isn’t here yet.  It is still in the 70’s and 80’s over here and it still feels mostly like summer to me.  The nights are cooler, however and therefore, I’ve been reaching for items out of both my summer and fall clothes.  Until fall is completely upon us, I’ll be mixing and matching my fall layers with my summer staples.

One of my favorite ways to transition my summer outfits into fall is to add a cute pair of booties to an outfit.  Whether it is a simple t shirt and jeans or a summer dress, booties instantly make a look fall appropriate.  I got this pair from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I love them.  They are so cute and casual that I can wear them with almost any outfit!

Also, I’ve been living in anything olive green.  This dress was something that I got at Last Chance for (wait for it, wait for it…) FOUR DOLLARS!  A dress this cute for four dollars?  Yes, please!  I love the bow detail in the back because it makes the dress different than a lot of other dresses that I own.  I’ve linked similar options of this dress below!

If you read my August Favorites post from earlier this week, you would know that rose gold has been my favorite color lately.  Olive green and rose gold are one of my favorite combos as well.  I am so excited for fall and wearing this outfit more!
