Blanket Scarf – Charming Charlie (this color is sold out, but this one is basically identical)
I’m not going to lie – the first time I bought a blanket scarf I had no idea how to wear it. I was so excited to wear my new item that literally everyone already owned and when I finally took it out of its packaging, I was left really confused! How in the heck was this thing that literally looks like a tiny blanket going to become a scarf? It took a while, but I think I have it all figured out now.
Blanket scarves are all over Pinterest and everyone’s blogs. They look so big and comfy and all I wanted was to have my scarf look like everyone else’s instead of just a large blob around my neck. Once I finally figured out a few ways to wear them, I fell in love with this accessory.
My favorite way to wear a blanket scarf is kind of how I wear most of my scarves. The only thing that is better about a blanket scarf is if it is actually cold out, it will keep you warm!
First, take two corners of the scarf that are diagonal from each other and hold the scarf outwards.
Second, begin to wrap the scarf around your neck. The middle of the scarf should be at the front and the ends should come around your neck and should end up around the front as well.
Voila! You have one way to wear a blanket scarf!
Sometimes, I will wear these like an infinity scarf. If it’s really cold out, this is my favorite way to wear it. First, tie the ends of the scarf together.
Wrap the scarf around itself once so that you have a place to put your head. You now have a large, comfy, infinity scarf!
Finally, sometimes I like the look of this scarf just around my neck, plain and simple. No directions needed for this one, but I feel like this would look great strolling around an apple orchard. Okay, now I want apples! Ha!
Here are some other blanket scarves that I think are perfect for fall:
